The Perry Glass Studio at the Chrysler Museum of Art has officially reopened, unveiling a striking transformation after a $30 million expansion—and our team is proud to have brought this ambitious vision to life.

The grand opening was marked by a weekend of celebration, including live glassblowing demonstrations, gala, and community-centered festivities. Visitors were welcomed into a space that has been completely reimagined—now more than triple its original size and equipped with world-class amenities for artists, educators, and guests alike.

From day one, the construction of the Perry Glass Studio was a unique opportunity to create a space that merges artistry and craft with technical precision. The new 190-seat amphitheater-style hot shop, state-of-the-art classrooms, and dedicated cold- and flame-working areas were all constructed with a focus on flexibility, visibility, and long-term resilience. In addition to complex material integration—including curtain wall systems, terracotta panels, polished concrete, and formed metal paneling—our team carefully managed the logistics of construction adjacent to an active museum environment.

Throughout the build, we remained focused on delivering a facility that not only meets the immediate needs of the museum’s growing programming but also positions it for decades of creative exploration and community engagement.
