Director, Hampton Roads Operations

With over two decades of experience in construction management, Charles Clatterbuck has built a career on delivering complex projects with precision and foresight. His expertise spans large-scale hospitality, public facilities and infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, mass timber, multi-family, and museum projects, giving him a deep understanding of how to manage intricate builds from concept to completion. 

Starting as a Project Engineer in Las Vegas, Charles cut his teeth on mega-scale hotel and casino developments before transitioning to the public sector, serving as a Construction Manager for Prince William County’s Department of Transportation. Most recently, he has led operations on nationally significant cultural institutions in Washington, D.C., bringing his strategic mindset and leadership to long-term, multi-phase projects. 

In his current role as Director of Operations for Hourigan’s Hampton Roads office, Charles oversees a diverse portfolio of work, including higher education, community and nonprofit projects, commercial developments, and highly secure, mission-critical federal facilities. His ability to manage complexity, drive schedules, and lead high-performing teams ensures success across this dynamic and evolving region.  

Now calling Virginia Beach home, Charles and his family are embracing life by the coast and enjoying all that beach living provides.
