— 1 min read
We’re proud to share that the Elizabeth River Project’s Ryan Resilience Lab has been recognized with two top honors at this year’s Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE) Design Awards ceremony.
The project received the Award of Excellence for Best Sustainable Project, a testament to the lab’s groundbreaking environmental design and forward-thinking approach to resilience in coastal communities. In addition to this category win, the Ryan Resilience Lab was also selected for the coveted Juror’s Choice Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement and innovation across all categories.
Designed as a model for sustainable development in the face of sea-level rise and climate change, the Ryan Resilience Lab serves as a living laboratory—educating the public, testing real-world solutions, and setting a bold example for the future of coastal construction. Congratulations to the entire project team, and to the Elizabeth River Project for leading with vision and purpose.
